Aegean Airlines launched its first flight from Athens to Tbilisi
The largest Greek Carrier - Aegean Airlines launched its first flight from Athens to Tbilisi International Airport.  Starting from June 11, 2012 Air Company will perform regular flights twice a week, from Athens to Tbilisi.  Flights will be performed by Airbus 320 aircraft, every Monday and Thursday.

I am sure, that regular flights from Athens to Tbilisi will please thousands of Georgians living and working in Greece. I hope that the new route between two countries will also be popular among Greek tourists.” – said TAV Georgia’s General Manager Mete Erkal.


With the fleet of 29 modern airplanes, Aegean Airlines offers direct flights from the Greece capital, Athens to 15 domestic and more than 21 international destinations throughout the Europe and Asia.


TAV Georgia commenced 2012 successfully, with the entrance of the world’s best, 5 star airline Qatar Airways in February.  From April 2012, regular flights are performed from Tallinn to Tbilisi by Estonia’s national carrier – Estonian Air. Together with Aegean Airlines during the summer season Tbilisi International Airport will also host Alitalia – Italy’s largest airline company.
