Rehabilitation of the existing runway and taxiways at Tbilisi International Airport has completed

As of July 12 Tbilisi International Airport will go back to 24 hour operation. From now on Airport will serve air companies and passengers with renovated runway and taxiways. The opening ceremony of renovated runway and taxiways was attended by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia - Dimitry Kumsishvili, Members of Georgian Government, Management of TAV Georgia, the Director of United Airports of Georgia, the Director of Georgian Civil Aviation Agency and the Director of “Sakaeronavigatsia”. Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Dimitry Kumsishvili rewarded TAV Georgia, TAV Construction, United Airports of Georgia, Georgian Civil Aviation Agency and “Sakaeronavigatsia” with Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of Outstanding contribution in rehabilitation project of the existing runway and taxiways. The rehabilitation of existing runway and taxiways is a part of the infrastructure development investment program of Tbilisi International Airport, which was launched on 12th of October, 2015. As of March 1st 2016 the works were commenced on the runway (3120 area), which included arranging of 3 new asphalt coatings and marking. The taxiways also have been entirely reconstructed.
