Air Company Aironix Airlines performed first - Tbilisi-Simferopol flight

During the summer season 2013, together with the notably increased numbers of flights in Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, few new air companies are planning to enter Georgian Air Market. On June 4, 2013, Ukrainian air carrier Aironix has performed first flight from Simferopol to Tbilisi International Airport. The regular flights will be performed twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays with Boeing 737 type aircraft. The arrival time in Tbilisi Airport is 02:30 a.m. and the departure time will be 05:00 a.m. The duration of flight is 2 hours. “We are glad that Tbilisi Airport will be overloaded during Summer Season 2013. I hope that Simferopol route will be interesting for Georgian and Ukrainian passengers” –stated TAV Georgia’s General Manager Mete Erkal. According to air company’s representatives, one-way ticket price will start from 151 Euro. As for the round trip, tickets price will start from 251 Euro. Ukrainian air carrier Aironix Airlines performs regular flights from April 2012. Despite Georgia, scheduled flights from Simferopol International Airport are carry out to Ukraine, Slovakia, Russia, Poland, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Turkey and Israel. During the summer season 2013 (which lasts from March 31 - till October 28) 9 leading air companies have already started to performing regular flights to Tbilisi airport with the increased frequencies. In May 2013, air company Israir Airlines started to operate flights from Tbilisi International Airport to Tel Aviv. During the upcoming summer, few more international air companies are interested in Georgia route.
