First Direct Fight Beijing - Tbilisi

On 23 of September, China Southern Airlines has performed its first direct flight on the route Beijing-Tbilisi. Flights will be performed twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays with Boeing B737-B738 and B752 types of aircrafts. The flights will go between Beijing-Urumqi-Tbilisi. New direction will stimulate strengthening the economic and touristic ties and increase the number of visitors between the countries. Until now China Southern Airlines was performing flights on the route Tbilisi- Urumqi- Lanzhou. TAV Georgia hosted the welcoming event held in relation with the start of the new air traffic at Tbilisi International Airport. The Ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of China in Georgia, representative of China Southern Airlines, managements of TAV Georgia, United Airports Georgia and Sakaeronavigatsia. China Southern Airlines was established in 1988. Nowadays the company serves 193 destinations in 35 different countries worldwide. China Southern Airlines operates in Georgia since 2011.
